Hi, I'm Natalie, the heart and hands behind Squiggles Face & Body Art. I’m a proud mum of two energetic little boys, a trained educator, and an artist with a lifelong passion for colour, creativity, and connection.
Originally from New Zealand, my creative journey began in classrooms and schools, where I studied art and design throughout both secondary and tertiary education. But it wasn’t until I discovered face painting that everything truly clicked. Combining my love for art, children, and joyful shared experiences into one colourful, unforgettable path.
Face painting allows me to bring a little bit of magic into people’s lives, not just with a brush, but with presence, care, and a genuine love for what I do. Whether I’m painting butterflies at a backyard birthday or mentoring a new artist on their creative journey, I feel honoured every day to be part of someone’s special moment.

At the core of everything I do is a simple belief: every person deserves a safe, joyful, and personal experience, no matter how big or small the design.
I take the time to connect with each child, understand their preferences, and adapt my designs to suit their comfort and imagination. I never rush. Instead, I focus on making each interaction meaningful, fun, and memorable. No two faces are alike, and neither are my designs.
I also deeply respect individual choice: if someone doesn’t wish to be painted, they never will be. Everyone’s experience should feel empowering and positive, not pressured.
Beyond the art itself, I take pride in creating a service that’s both responsible and safe. I only use professional-grade, cosmetic-safe products, maintain strict hygiene practices, and whenever possible, choose eco-conscious alternatives like biodegradable glitter and reusable materials. Caring for my clients and the planet go hand in hand.
